There is approximately one fire a day at a historic site/building in the UK according to statistics.
Now more than ever we need to be making sure these buildings are kept safe and the owners stay vigilant.
Like all other buildings, the responsible person should make sure the external perimeter of the building is kept clear to reduce the chances of a random arson attack. Making sure security measures are in place to ensure unauthorised persons cannot enter the site is paramount.
The risk of arson can be increased at a time like this. Let’s make sure we keep on top of fire safety, now more than ever.
