Of course any fire safety deficiencies should be rectified before any new premises opens as a restaurant and night club.
However, I think what is worrying is the current agenda to try and shut down new enterprises and business ventures with constant red tape and anti democratic levels of control.
How many night clubs have shut down due to newly built flats and the disruption they would cause. Where do youngsters now go after a night at a pub (remember those too).
With CCTV cameras everywhere, more and more police, council and Government bureaucracy measures in place, things more expensive than ever, fines being handed out left right and centre.... This country is at a tipping point for more control and less freedom.
Let’s put sensible measures in place, make sure the building has safe fire safety precautions and let’s open that nightclub and get back out there.
