£12 million spent a month in London alone on waking watch services. I’m sure this is justified in some cases but that’s an incredible sum of money on something that once spent has nothing to show for it as supposed to systems that could have been installed and reused if they are ever removed.
I’m interested, does anyone know of cases where waking watches have been used to evacuate residents and what was the severity of the fire in those cases? There may be many so I would be interested in what has been the actual requirement of these services to date? I think it’s a perfectly reasonable question at £12 million a month.
