The owners of this hair salon in Chester will wish they had complied with fire safety laws now that they have been handed with a £7000 fine. Occupants were being put at risk unnecessarily. Had they carried out a suitable and sufficient fire risk assessment and followed its advice they would have a safer premises and more money in their pockets.
It took a leak from the premises above to highlight and to get the ball rolling in this case and if you continue to ignore fire safety laws and guidance, that leak could be coming your way.
