This is an interesting article suggesting that builders and developers are cutting corners when designing and building new properties to avoid or escape fire safety legislation.
We have also seen in recent years many fires during or shortly after the construction works of a new or refurbished building.
Different examples but both relate to saving money and reducing costs at the sacrifice of safety. It seems that fire risk assessors will have to continue to consider any potential shortcomings and remain as vigilant as ever.
