Our fire risk assessments are carried out in accordance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and also take into account the new Building Safety Bill and up and coming Fire Safety Act 2021. The major changes to these new laws are a greater emphasis on the external wall of properties and to communal and flat entrance doors. In particular it gives greater powers to landlords, property managers or whoever is the responsible person for the building to make changes/upgrades to fire doors. We also use the PAS 8890 as a guide for external walls which gives us fire risk assessors greater scope for adopting a flexible and common sense approach to our findings.
