Properties being valued at £0 due to cladding. This article talks about ‘mortgage prisoners’ who bought in good faith but now can’t sell a property they are heavily mortgaged with. I think banks also need to take some responsibility here. They lent the money on the same condition the building is now and through no fault of their own residents are finding they can’t sell their flat. It’s due to advice note 14, cladding, wooden balconies etc. The word mortgage actually derives from a French word meaning ‘debt till death’, well the banks are certainly not helping their residents. Anyone stuck in such a flat please drop me a line, we can carry out a life safety fire risk assessment and could potentially help you here with a range of solutions. We are on your side during these difficult and uncertain fire safety times. Info@whalefire.co.uk https://lnkd.in/gfTxvqK
